We are looking to hire a Local Head of HSE (Health, Safety, & Environment) to lead our HSE department in Hull Blade Factory, who will provide substantial support to the operations team to acting as a partner to the Plant Director to ensure appropriate health, safety and environmental arrangements are in place within your designated facility, to support the delivery of a strong EHS management framework and culture. As an EHM (Health, and Safety Management) Head for the location, you will proactively support the operations team by providing leadership, demonstrating, and promoting responsible attitudes towards EHS, implementing best practice with regards to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and contributing towards the delivery of the overall business HSE strategy You will be reporting to the Head of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) for Blades as a functioned lead and working closely with the local Plant director for driving the ongoing “Safety is my choice” EHS culture and providing extensive support on legislative and industry specific topics to ensure successful & safe operations and compliance with all applicable laws, standards, and factory specific guidelines Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: Providing HSE leadership, proactively monitoring and assessing HSE performance, implementing improvement plans while leading and developing a team of HSE specialist Supporting local engagement and alignment to the overall HSE strategic objectives Full and effective implementation of the Company’s health, safety & environmental management systems Proactive monitoring, hazard identification and facilitating the implementation of effective control measures Partnering with operations management and employees to provide advice and guidance on legislation, standards, and local expectations / guidelines Communicating and collaborating with other HSE team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice Ensuring all accidents, incident, and near misses are recorded, reported, and investigated in accordance with company procedures and all corrective actions are identified, implemented, monitored, and reviewed Ensuring HSE statistics and KPI’s are compiled, analysed for trends, acted upon locally and shared throughout your department as necessary Ensure all relevant health, safety, and environmental records (e.g., records of thorough examination, risk assessments, training records etc.) are kept, maintained, and updated as and when necessary Undertaking any reasonable activity that assists the business and the fulfilment of EHS related objectives. Ensuring/promoting Lesson Learned and Knowledge sharing with sister plants. What you need to make a difference Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
