Location Lurie Children's Primary Care - Town & Country Pediatrics (Halsted) Job Description Greet and room patients while making patients comfortable and answering questions as applicable. Alert Nurses or Medical Assistants of all patient visits and those who are waiting. Monitor and alert patients, providers, nurses or medical assistants of delays or changes in the schedule. Assist providers by pulling charts, copying forms, faxing, and scanning etc. Files charts, labs, consults and phone messages promptly and accurately as related to the Clinical Communications Center (CCC), Annex and the Lab. Take telephone messages and task to EMR system. Maintain scales, calibrate daily using weight, and change height rods as needed. Sanitize rooms after each patient, properly disposing of contaminated and disposable items, check bathrooms, keep urine cups and wipes stocked and neat. Maintain stock in exam rooms and closets, keep track of supplies that need to be ordered and alert manager. Assist with unpacking deliveries. Some responsibilities may vary based on office location needs. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma required. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, pleasant and professional demeanor required. Ability to effectively communicate with patients/families, physicians and other staff members in a collegial manner.
