Role: Insurance Coordinator 

Job Type: Non-exempt

Reports To: Doctor & Practice Manager

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 

 

Description:

The Insurance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring each patient receives excellent treatment and has a clear understanding of their financial responsibility while receiving treatment! Their primary responsibilities are verifying each patient’s dental insurance, managing all insurance claims for the office, and collecting payment for all treatments.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Verify insurance for each patient
  • Serve as the point of contact for all things insurance related and manage a strong working relationship with all insurance vendors
  • Following up on outstanding insurance claims and ensuring collection on our unpaid claims
  • Educate patients on insurance billing and create clarity around payment plans, etc.
  • Support the front office team in ensuring a white glove patient experience

  • Communicates effectively and respectfully to patients, Doctor and team 
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to multitask 
  • Ability to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness to patients and team 
  • General knowledge and understanding of insurance and administrative duties  
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills and has a customer service mindset 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Flexible Schedule

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1 years experience verifying insurance
