What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution System Operator position at 4P Consulting Inc.?
- High School or equivalent required - 2-year OR 4-year degree is strongly desired,
Job Experience.
- Above average computer skills are essential for this position.
- Prior electrical distribution system operating and/or transmission system operating experience.
- Experience in dispatching, coordinating work of others, sharing of best practices, and maximizing resources is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proper etiquette for providing excellent customer service both internal and external to the company.
- Ability to monitor and control the activities and operation of multiple events simultaneously.
- High degree of accuracy and quality of work results are required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
This position requires some driving for classes and testing, not for daily job duties.
- Must pass the SOPD test before interviewing and placement.
- After training is complete this job requires rotating shift work including days, nights, weekends and holidays and "call out" for emergencies. Candidate must be available to work outside normal shift hours, during emergencies and severe weather.
