SUMMARY:

Lead for EDI & Application support is responsible for the management and support of EDI and its associated applications, Database Interfaces, and EDI processes. The lead supports the effort to enable an efficient EDI order flow. This role will be the lead in working with vendors and internal partners related to EDI processing and sales. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for DB interfaces, EDI reporting, and EDI operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with management to create, implement, and enforce operations policies and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, and accuracy leading to frictionless EDI order flow
  • Serve as the technical liaison between the business partners to define reporting requirements related to EDI order flow
  • As an EDI lead, participate in the full lifecycle of a system implementation such as Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, System Configuration, Design, Testing, and Support, ensuring adherence to the SDLC methodology and development standards at 5.11.
  • Function as an interface between business partners and IT, translating internal customer requirements into effective, cost-efficient EDI solutions.
  • Endorse, participate, enthusiastically promote, and assist in the leadership of an effort to assure cross-functional competency to all team associates. Transition personal knowledge of the various technologies to other IT associates so that day-to-day support can be expanded and improved.
  • Ensure that software product/solution development meets business requirements.
  • Ensure overall documentation of applications systems is kept current including the development of appropriate documentation for all phases of current systems and new projects.
  • Provide cross-group collaboration across multiple time zones.
  • Anticipate changes required in project plans and processes and recommend alternative approaches.
  • Provide guidance for business decisions from a technical perspective on issues such as: performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop estimates for effort, time and cost for technical initiatives.
  • Provide regular status updates and feedback.
  • Assume total ownership of issues and ensure closure of issues with internal and external business partners.
  • Be available for on call rotation
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6 /- years of relevant experience and demonstrated EDI.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful EDI processing, troubleshooting, and setup.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT. At least 3 years experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong experience in EDI, order processing, and systems integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to form effective partnerships across the organization both within IT & across the business.
  • Experience working for multi-channel, multi-brand Retail companies.
  • Understanding of and experience with basic database elements including tables, queries, and database schemas.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent training and/or relevant experience.
