E-Commerce Analytics / Account Executive

Interested in joining a small team of highly skilled digital marketers that helps small and medium sized ecommerce businesses grow into bigger businesses?

50-Pound Boson is a performance-based digital marketing agency focused primarily on ecommerce for physical products, both in marketplaces (like Amazon or Walmart.com) and through standalone ecommerce sites (like Shopify). And we’re looking for a new team member.

Specifically, a new team member who likes problem solving with data and who likes bringing a sense of order to what is a fast moving and sometimes chaotic world of ecommerce. If you’re not not afraid of breaking down data using spreadsheets and other tools, and you think it’s cool (because it IS cool) to turn insights from that data into actions that grow businesses, we’d like to talk.

Experience with the business systems involved (systems like Amazon, Shopify, Google, and Facebook) is a plus but not required. If the aptitude and the desire is there, we can train the rest.

The ideal person for this position will be flexible, adaptive, energetic, and team-focused. They will have great listening skills that enable them to understand the needs of other team members and clients, and they will seek out areas of the business where they can add the most value. And they love learning new things.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report weekly on sales and advertising metrics and results.
• Develop and communicate data-driven insights that help our client partners grow.
• Seek out new developments and trends in ecommerce - life changes fast on the digital frontier, and 50-Pound Boson is our partners’ ecommerce expert.
• Lead execution of special marketing projects for clients.
• Continually look for opportunities to test, iterate, and improve results for clients.

Required experience:

• A few years of work experience is ideal, but this position is open to candidates just out of college that can demonstrate the attitude and aptitude (be ready to talk data) required of the position.
• Experience in Excel or other spreadsheets (like Google Sheets). Basically, no fear of a lot of data.
• Demonstrated experience as a supportive team member who can build trust and get things done.

Location: Local preferred (Cedar Rapids / Iowa City area in Iowa), hybrid in office / remote.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
