Your Title: Product Owner Job Location: Christchurch, NZ Our Department: Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) Does helping transform the earthmoving industry using cutting-edge technologies excite you? What You Will Do The Product Owner (PO) will rock product development by maximizing the value output by their agile delivery team; build the right thing, build the thing right; that realizes the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Trimble and CAT. This will involve: Managing the backlog of work for the team Providing the customer / end user “why” to the team Delivering stakeholder needs, with regular communication Facilitating and improving the agile development & iterative learning processes Being an available resource for the team to answer questions, clarify details, etc. Acting as a servant leader and effect change through influence Collaborating with other Product Owners, Product Managers, Software Project Managers, Verification and Validation, UX, and System Engineering to resolve blockers. What you'll bring? Along with being decisive, a team player, with strong work prioritisation skills and a collaborative communication and working style, you will also need to be: Attuned to the needs of the internal and external customer Possess the ability to think like the end-user Able to manage conflicting priorities Have a strategic mindset Capable of influencing without authority Able to respond to inspection with positive intent. Your Background/Qualifications: Demonstrated experience and success in: managing multiple stakeholders leading teams to develop software-based products understanding customer needs and collaborating to find and propose the right solutions to meet those needs providing coaching and training agile design and software development practices, techniques, and methods Product knowledge from Strategy to Execution Experience in or with the civil construction industry. About Our CTCT Division The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance and the office benefits from rich data collected on the machine.
