The Framingham Campus Projects Portfolio Department (PPD) is responsible for managing the portfolio of programs and initiatives that support the Framingham Campus strategy and the overall Sanofi strategy. The Framingham campus comprises of multiple Sanofi groups including Industrial Affairs, Global MSAT for the Biologics Platform, and Research and Development. While each business has distinct deliverables and portfolios, there is a requirement for collective alignment and prioritization of programs and deliverables at the campus level. The Framingham Campus PPD manages the following portfolios in addition to the campus portfolio: (1) Framingham Biologics - comprised of commercial Fabrazyme, Thyrogen, and Global Cell Banking operations (2) Framingham Facilities Operations – responsible for campus wide facilities and utilities operations per established Service Level Agreements and (3) Framingham Campus- comprised of the programs/projects, spaces (GMP and non-GMP), shutdowns requiring approval, planning and execution across the Sanofi groups on the Framingham campus. The Framingham Campus PPD will work closely with other PPD groups on the campus to ensure appropriate communication and coordination across these groups. The PPD manages the intake, prioritization and alignment of work to campus and site strategy and operations, generates reports on portfolio performance, and provides value-added analysis on program and project activity undertaken on site. The PPD also ensures proactive risk management of the portfolio. The PPD will also provide support for the execution of cross functional campus or site project/programs through a group of project managers, including sharing best practices and lessons learned. This position is responsible for management and implementation of cross-functional programs and projects, as well as continuously improving and ensuring effectiveness of the Portfolio Management tools and process. Core Responsibilities include: Planning and Implementation of cross-functional programs and projects Provide leadership and direction to assigned project teams through application of expertise in project management tools and processes. Institute comprehensive work breakdown structures for all team deliverables; track and follow up on implementation of team decisions. Ensure high levels of communication with project teams, support resources and management. Identify resource and schedule constraints, key risks and issues to be resolved, and proactively drive the development of contingency and/or risk mitigation plans. Support the coordination and cascading of plant operations key performance indicators; maintain and report applicable department metrics. Develop and implement formal communication protocols and tools including meeting minutes, dashboards and management reports/presentations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline with a minimum of 8 years' in biopharmaceuticals or highly regulated industry AND a minimum of 3 years of project management experience Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree Strong quantitative, analytical (technical and business), and problem solving skills. Exceptional communication and negotiating skills; strong presentation and facilitation skills. Experience in varied and progressively challenging operations roles with the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry and possess a strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing, quality and/or regulatory processes and challenges. Proficiency in MS office tools Special Working Conditions: Ability to gown and navigate GMP manufacturing areas. Continuously improving and ensuring effectiveness of the Portfolio Management process Participate in designing and continuously improving PPD project tools and processes Develop, implement, manage an effective standardized approach to program/project management with regards to compliance to company standards, schedule milestones, resources, and costs (including capital and operational). Provide support and training to personnel from various functional areas in the program/project governance process and the use of PMO documents and tools Share best practices and lessons learned In addition, employee is expected to: Work independently under minimal supervision and direction. Participate and lead in determining objectives of significant projects or assignments. Perform work that requires decision making and the consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion.
