Job Summary The incumbent is accountable for maintenance / enhancement of existing computer-based systems supporting one or more areas or technologies. The purpose of this job is to perform, with minimal supervision, a variety of tasks associated with the implementation, evaluation, installation, testing, modification and maintenance of digital computer systems at Susquehanna Nuclear, LLC, including associated computer networks. The incumbent works as an individual contributor with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. This support could be on a 24 hour a day, seven (7) days a week basis. Primary Responsibilities Work in a variety of capacities on tasks related to the Process Computer, Cyber Security and plant digital systems. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance functions. Performs hardware and software physical installation, testing, documentation, and maintenance activities. Performs computer system troubleshooting, assessments, reviews, investigations and studies. Routinely interfaces with other departments as necessary for a high level of teamwork and customer satisfaction. Effectively manages work assignments including prioritizing, scheduling and estimating resource requirements. Develops procedures, guidelines, and tools to support computer engineering and maintenance activities. Ability to work alone or as part of a project team. Continually expand and improve technical and business skill sets. Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering / Technology or equivalent experience Performs preventive and computer corrective maintenance functions Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical and organizational skills Effective analyses, problem solving, decision making, planning skills Strong technical writing, analytical skills Ability to work in a team environment Successful completion of a Nuclear Security Clearance is required Preferred Ability to understand and develop computer requirements, develop/ review/ approve documentation, and develops and performs computer tests. In-depth knowledge of computer digital systems hardware, software, network technology, operating systems and I/O technology. Understanding and ability to work with Microsoft Windows, Linux, Active Directory Relational Database, MS SQL, ACCESS, VMware TCP/ IP Network and security development, and administration, switches and firewalls Previous I&C, Electrical Design, Maintenance, OEM experience. Experience/ familiarity with Regulatory/ Industry (NRC, NEI, EPRI, IEEE) requirements, standards guidance for digital computer systems.
