Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will be part of the Central Engineering team playing a key role in delivering Foundational IP solutions to various SOCs (System On Chips) for a wide range of products. We are developing IPs and enabling the latest advances in mobile computing, wireless network, secured connected devices, autonomous driving, smart homes and many more. Your key responsibilities will include developing I/O and analog circuit solutions to cater to the various customer requirements for multiple technology nodes ranging from 45nm to 3nm across major foundry platforms. The role includes the responsibilities to understand customer's need and come-up with the best feasible solutions, owning the development from the initial design phase through final deliverables, collaborate with test team with test strategy and validate the H/W results, failure analysis, issue root cause determination, and the development of corrective actions. Responsibilities- Design and deliver I/O libraries supporting various industry standards and custom analog circuits to customer specifications including the generation and delivery of final EDA views for the IPs. The I/O libraries include GPIO, over voltage protected I/O pads, LVDS, SSTL, HSTL, ISLVS, I2C, I3C, 3D IO and support cells. Design and deliver the custom analog circuits to customer specifications including the generation and delivery of final EDA views for the IP. The Analog circuits include amplifiers, Bandgap, ADC/DAC, and LDOs power switches, biasing blocks, over-voltage/over-current protection circuits, power-switches, and a range of closed loop feedback circuits. Provide the required technical guidance and support to SOCs, and test chips for I/O qualification. Create clear documentation of design & product development activities to ensure high quality designs & to support dissemination of important design information to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or related fields and 8-12 years of related professional experience. Advanced knowledge of various I/O standards, on-chip ESD protection circuit design. Advanced knowledge of CAD design tools such as Cadence virtuoso and Synopsys DC. Applicant should have sufficient design experience to be able to effectively own and review circuit and layout designs. Comprehensive simulation skills in Cadence including PEX, Monte Carlo, and Corner analysis. Derive design specifications from customer requirement. Hands-on experience with standard analog cell design including bandgaps, op-amps, detectors, regulators, precision current source and amplifiers. A very good knowledge of ESD relevant device physics such as snapback and other high-level injection phenomenon/device operations Fully familiar with industry ESD test standards.
