Communications Supervisor

Location: Tallgrass Creek by Erickson Senior Living Tallgrass Creek is a beautiful 65-acre continuing care retirement community located in Overland Park, just minutes from Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri border. The Communication Supervisor is a working Communications Supervisor/Specialist who performs the standard duties of a Communications Specialist, as well as assisting with bi-weekly work scheduling, timekeeping, training, evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc. The Communications Supervisor is the first line of communications with the staff related to arranging coverage when a staff member requests off or is unable to work a shift. The Communication Supervisor apprises the Manager of all changes related to staffing and assists the Manager as necessary. Compensation: Commensurate with experience $20.50 - $25.50 per hour. How you will make an impact: Greeting and directing residents and visitors. Operating the switchboard and directs calls efficiently. Alerting Security to all emergencies. Assisting with sorting and distribution of residential and office mail. Creating and maintaining bi-weekly work schedules for all Communications Staff. Assisting with evaluation and coaching of the Communications Specialist. What you will need: Previous Office Management experience. Previous experience covering a front desk or switchboard. High School diploma or GED.
