Responsibilities

Are you a proven communications leader with a passion for people, strategy, and great results? 7-Eleven Corporate Communications is looking for a strategic communications leader to oversee the best-in-class Internal and Operations Communications teams in producing dynamic content that inspires, engages and educates internal audiences.

 

As the Director of Internal and Operations Communications, you’ll take the lead on building a strategy that “activates awesome”, grows the business and energizes colleagues. You and the team will drive messaging and culture across our proud banner of brands to support corporate employees, Operations and Field teams, and Franchisees. You’ll guide an award-winning, powerhouse group of communications professionals to bring our corporate strategy to life through creative, fun and inspiring ways of working and thinking.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Lead work that makes an impact. From company culture and digital transformation to product launches and marketing programming support, you’ll make all the difference in how we effectively communicate to internal audiences including employees, Franchisees and stores.
  • Make your mark: support a compelling long-term strategy for the 7-Eleven internal and operations communications functions.
  • Strategize with senior leaders in Franchising and Operations Services to provide counsel and communications support to executive leadership, develop store-facing strategies and timely communications that reinforce store partnership in real time through continuous improvement.
  • Guide best-in-class internal communications to corporate Store Support Centers and Store/Franchisees, as well as channel management for My7Hub (intranet), digital screens and direction to Video and Photography teams.
  • Partner across departments to amplify key initiatives, create impactful messaging with tailored content to best reach our individual audience segments.
  • Create persuasive storytelling campaigns and activations that inspire and engage internal audiences.
  • Lead with a data-driven and outcomes-focused mindset to maximize effectiveness and output of team against corporate priorities.

 

 


Qualifications

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4-year degree (public relations, communications, journalism, or business preferred)

 

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 15 years

 

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 5 years

 

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 15 years of corporate communications experience
  • Proven leadership experience with an ability to manage an internal team as well as external agencies and contractors
  • Strategic understanding of current and emerging communication needs, channel management, planning and utilization in corporate environment
  • Previous QSR, Retail or Franchisee experience a plus
