Responsibilities-
• Prepare information requested by tax accountant for income tax filings.
• Prepare and file various business tax forms (excise tax, use tax, property tax, business license, unclaimed property, etc). And prepare related payment requests and journal entries
• Prepare tax provision entries
• Prepare payroll journal entries (NOTE: Payroll is processed by HR)
• Answer inquiries from Executive Assistant about JT payroll matters
• Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, prepare related journal entries and offset the transactions in SAP as needed.
• Prepare government survey (BEA, Census, etc.)
• Perform sales/cost analysis
• Lead ad hoc projects
• Provide guidance to senior accountants as needed
• Prepare journal entries for adjustments, amortization, budget accrual, etc.
• Prepare monthly internal financial reporting such as preliminary report, budget comparison, SMLY comparison, etc.
• Assist in preparation of monthly stand-alone financial statements (Balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement), and fluctuation analysis of income statement accounts (budget comparison and SMLY comparison) and balance sheet accounts
• Assist in preparation of executive financial reporting package
• Assist in preparation of quarterly package
• Assist in preparation of PBC for annual/interim audit and responding to their questions.
• Assist in preparation of internal audit and JSOX requirements
• Assist in maintain ASC 842 lease and fixed assets schedule
• Assist in preparation of annual budget
• Ad hoc duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3 years of operational accounting experience
• General knowledge of corporate income tax, use tax and personal property tax filing experience
• Payroll entry and reconciliation experience
• CPA certification, a plus
• Public accounting experience a plus
