ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Provides administrative support to state and federal agencies. Works efficiently and responsibly from remote locations if necessary. Works with highly educated and accomplished scientists to effectively transform conversations into a professional manuscript reflecting a high degree of integrity. Accurately interprets complex scientific discussions for integration into meeting notes. Composes minutes of advisory board meetings to agency and employer standards. Travels to designated meeting sites with the continental US. Produces professional and accurate notes, papers, and reports for review by clients and others. Demonstrates above average research skills and interacts effectively with clients to locate, communicate with, and convince subject matter experts to participate in the funding of scientific research. Utilizes research skills to identify, contact and recruit subject matter experts to support scientific research activities on a state and federal level. Maintains close and highly responsive relationships with managers, customers, subject matter experts and other stakeholders. Accurately tracks hours worked and travel costs for input into the organization travel system. Helps develop, organize, and maintain documents and records, and reports to the customer. Shows project awareness by performing within designated time limitations. Helps compile costs for reports to the customer. Reports and escalates as needed. Complies with organizational quality standards, regulations, and procedures. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferably physics, with a minimum of three (3) years experience in writing and editing scientific documents. Graduate degrees in English may be considered. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Must have current DOD T/S or DOE Q clearance for consideration. Ability to use web based resources, including professional databases and social media, to identify appropriate individuals qualified to support areas of scientific research. Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.
