8&9 is a 20 year veteran in streetwear and music merchandise providing domestic production, cut & sew manufacturing and turnkey ecommerce solutions to brands & artists. 8&9 is known for servicing top streetwear brands and record labels through programs that elevate their product offering, reduce lead time and build margins. Our house line is stocked in over 500 better boutiques, streetwear stores & urban retailers.
What it is:
8&9 MFG Co is seeking an experienced and effective Director of Operations that will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of merch and apparel programs across various lines of business.
Reporting to the Founder, the Director will work with clients and internally across Sourcing, Production, and E-commerce to ensure ever-changing priorities and deadlines are met as well as assisting with new creative thinking while building relationships to grow the business.
He/she will contribute to delivering best in class client experiences while empowering brands and artists to take ownership of their merchandise programs by leveraging a range of company services. The ideal candidate will bring experience in the music merchandising and or streetwear space, be a self starting, results driven critical thinker.
What is takes:
- Responsible for execution of merchandise programs for key clients
- Overseas Sourcing, Production, E-commerce, Fulfillment Operations & Staff
- Working with partners/vendors to ensure program deadlines are met
- Developing, scoping and executing new growth opportunities
- Managing existing client relationships to maximize their business' effectiveness and growth
- Review and optimize internal and external processes
Must haves:
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines
- Lead with professional demeanor when dealing with partners and co-workers under stress
- Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
- Flexible – able to adjust to changing priorities, and able to multi-task
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Coordinate creation of pitch decks and sizzles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $151,963.00 per year
