For more information, visit embecta.com. Reporting to the CFO of embecta, the embecta VP of Investor Relations has direct responsibility for all of embecta’s financial communication. This includes day to day contact with Wall Street, quarterly earnings release, annual reports and investor presentations. This role will work closely with the company’s CFO and CEO and other members of the executive leadership team to communicate the company’s strategy, growth opportunities and business initiatives in a way that creates clarity, consistency and widespread understanding among investors and analysts. RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary spokesperson to the financial community for embecta; manages relationships with Wall Street research analysts, maintains buy-side relationships and creates new relationships with prospective investors. Responsible for maintaining existing shareholder base. Responsible for creating and executing an enhanced Investor Relations strategy in order to continuously improve embecta’s perception in the analyst community. Works closely with the CEO, CFO, General Counsel to communicate embecta’s strategy and growth opportunities externally. Will work with the CEO and CFO to develop and communicate embecta’s story through institutional conferences, road shows, earnings releases, conference calls, and printed and other visual media including investor presentations. Develop and maintain a proactive investor communications program that allows for dissemination of key information to the financial community including investor communications. Advise senior management and the Board of Directors, including participation in meetings as they relate to investor issues including concerns that impact valuation, guidance and shareholder return policies. Develops investor relations materials for the CEO and CFO Maintain deep operating knowledge of company operations and anticipate and respond to specific Wall Street questions and issues. Work with key finance and business leaders within the company to develop financial and business metrics that communicate the financial story for embecta to Wall Street. Provide additional departmental interface with business units and corporate finance to analyze company operating trends, industry trends, competition, and business strategies. Coordinate efforts of external firms including surveillance experts, consultants, floor traders and NYSE/NASDAQ to ensure understanding of current trends impacting publicly traded companies and to maximize the efforts of the Investor Relations department. Coordinate with the Corporate Communications department on key communication issues to ensure the company is delivering a consistent message and adhering to applicable SEC Regulations on Financial Disclosures. Prepare other senior executives for interaction with investors and analysts. Reports and synthesizes materials for embecta Board members and embecta leaders which analyze competitive dynamics and business trends in the healthcare industry. Qualifications and Experience The Successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics. A CPA, CFA and/or MBA highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Investor Relations and at least 15 years in Finance. Ability to understand and communicate extremely complex financial issues including internal and external financial models. Proven track record with Wall Street. Behavioral Competencies High level comfort and experience in dealing with CEO’, CFO and Board of Directors. Excellent communication skills. Ability to write cogently and persuasively, speak articulately, think quickly in fielding questions in a public setting and create powerful presentations. Ability to grasp the full meaning of interrelationships among key financial indicators. Use financial analysis to evaluate and create shareholder value. Drives results.
