Concept Designer

Location: Stockholm Role Purpose: To offer a first-class design service to our customers from the design community and to ensure business growth in line with the Nordics regions. Secure our position as design leaders, influence as well as react to trends to be able to offer innovative and successful design solutions Accountabilities: Working alongside the Account Manager provide design inspiration and advice to customers, translating their requirements into concept design solutions, producing floor designs and artwork including specific custom designs using graphics packages to help ensure Interface is the brand of choice. Support and advise architectural and designer customers on all aspects of Interface product, service portfolio and trends in order to win and maintain product specification. Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential customers in order to develop awareness of Interface’s products and services. Act as a product expert, to provide an advisory service to Account Managers to help ensure that the most appropriate product solutions are offered to customers. Using a variety of mediums (trade fairs, customer engagement etc) actively research and pursue a wide spectrum of design trend information, inspiration and to feed into the NPD process to ensure our products are innovative and in line with our brand. Actively engage with customers to develop a thorough understanding of their product and design needs, feeding this information into the NPD process and marketing brief to ensure our products are in line with customer expectations. Provide input on the design content and design trends for branding and marketing communication projects and deliverables (e.g. Design blogs) to ensure the delivery of contents meet both design and marketing requirements and engage with our customers in an innovative and exciting way Working alongside colleagues, develop the concept for the ‘look and feel’ of showrooms & HQ’s maintaining a consistency of look across Europe which showcases both our products and design leadership. Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in measurement of progress and forward planning. Share best practice across the European Concept Design team to ensure a continuous learning environment and efficiency of process. Scale & Scope Located in Stockholm, office role supporting Nordic region Travel required throughout territory to attend team, customer, and business meetings. Supporting projects Supporting account managers across the Nordics region Knowledge, Skills & Experience Strong design experience with commercial awareness developed within a corporate environment. Degree educated within a relevant discipline in interior design preferably with experience in textiles Experience of successfully developing client relationships. Experience in working with the Architects, designers and Excellent presentation skills with experience of leading design meetings. Experience of supporting regional teams with ability to work on own initiative.
