Position Summary: Position will assist in the assessment of audits within Resolution Life US. The Auditor is responsible for the evaluation of risks, assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of controls implemented to mitigate risks and propose improvements where needed. Position Responsibilities: Assist in the planning of audits to determine the objective and related scope of audits Assists in risk assessment for audits Document and assess the adequacy of internal controls and propose recommendations for improvements Performs detailed audit procedures, analyzes results, and assist in the preparation of audit reports with supervision Proactively identify risks and issues as they arise Supports the evaluation and documentation of IT related controls Develop positive relationships with internal clients Respond timely to requests from internal clients across the organization on critical questions and issues Where applicable, provide consultation to assist the client with implementation of new/improved controls Monitor the client’s progress/resolution efforts of high-risk issues and follow up with management to ensure that unresolved control matters are being addressed Perform additional tasks as assigned Knowledge & Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in auditing Knowledge of IT General Controls preferred Experience and knowledge of financial services / insurance industry Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Business, or IT is required Advanced degree (MBA) and/or professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) is desirable Experience and knowledge of business processes and controls Builds effective and collaborative peer-level relationships Demonstrates problem-solving skills Proactively identifies and resolves issues as they arise Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and effectively to contribute to team objectives Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Good knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, business processes, and IIA standards Location: West Chester or Atlanta (Preferred), but will consider remote for a strong candidate #LI-Remote Critical Skills At Resolution Life, we have identified the following critical skills which are key to success in our culture: Customer Focused: Passionate drive to delight our customers and offer unique solutions that deliver on their expectations.
