Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Health Screener greets, screens and asks health related questions to all individuals, including employees, patients, and visitors, entering the facility or location. This role is key to ensuring that the on-site location is a safe and healthy environment for all patrons. Essential Job Functions Explains to all personnel the purpose of the temperature screening at point of entry. Provide temperature screen and monitors for all individuals entering the healthcare facility. Follows all protocols established, including those if a person be identified by the screening assessment to be a suspected COVID-19 case, contacts appropriate management personnel if difficulty ensues. Practices appropriate health and safety protocols in accordance with BSMH COVID-19 guidance. Follows all requirements related to personal protective equipment, cleaning of work station, and social distancing practices. Complies with HIPAA guidelines at all time. Safely dispose of all disposable PPE including single use items such as gloves; and manage all clinical waste and ensure it is disposed of properly. Adheres to all standards and policies of Bon Secours Mercy Health. Demonstrates behavior consistent with the mission and core values of Bon Secours Mercy Health.
