As an Expeditor in our aftermarket Procurement team, you will be a central person responsible for coordinating and managing the communication between suppliers, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehousing, and the Inside Sales Team on all matters related to supplier on-time delivery for FLSmidth. This position interfaces with many personnel and positions across the organization, both internal and external to the local office. Your responsibilities Routinely contacts suppliers to follow up on products ordered and obtains progress and status information to ensure that all deliveries will be available to ship to their destinations in full, on time, and with the requested quality May act as primary liaison between major hubs to ensure that expediting work is performed effectively and successfully Routinely reviews all active orders, identify gaps and missing schedule/delivery information and works with suppliers and offshore counterparts to ensure information is being maintained Maintain accurate ERP Purchase Order delivery data and communicate any schedule change to the customer service or project teams Determines specific expediting strategies for each assignment to ensure that critical components/equipment deliveries are met Informs customer service and logistics on status of delivery to enable coordination of shipping and deliveries Collects the needed documentation necessary for FLSmidth to take over the ownership of the products Coaches and motivates local and remote Expeditors to increase product/technical knowledge, as well as ensure that project or sales order deliveries are met Develops/leads initiatives to improve departmental or supplier performance as requested/needed Prepare or contribute to preparation of frequent reports detailing supplier's progress and SIFOT performance, problems encountered and solutions to maintain manufacturing, fabrication, testing and delivery schedules.
