Mechanical Product Engineer - Filtration

Key Summary The Mechanical Product Engineer - Filtration is responsible for the execution of mechanical aspects within a project or product. The role requires the ensuring that engineering is done on time, on budget and to the specifications agreed, as well as ensures the right quality of the product or project is achieved. Key Accountabilities • Responsibility for design integrity of project • Works on standardization, product improvement, and development efforts of product line (Value Engineering) • May work on research and development projects • Supports technical development of members within the team • Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts • Assists operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low cost sourcing initiatives • May assist in development of design standards / guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures • Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures • Reviews and approves design drawings including 3D • Reviews customer specifications • Performs and Reviews mechanical calculations • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities. What you bring B. S. degree mechanical engineering 0-5 years mechanical equipment design experience Experience creating 3D CAD drawings using SolidWorks or similar software Ability to be a contributing member of a team and to work with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds History of meeting schedules and deadlines Experience creating engineering calculations using MathCAD, MATLAB or similar software Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to six weeks per year Experience using FEA software such as Ansys or SolidWorks simulation Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to design for ease of manufacturability Ability to read, understand and apply technical specifications and contract requirements
