99 Haus Balloons in Forest Park, IL is looking for an event installer to join our 8 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable. This person is responsible for loading and unloading event décor, styling event décor and setting up and striking (taking down) the event décor. The Event Installer takes direction from and reports to our production manager as well as owner.

• Loads and unloads props, and event décor onto vehicles and trucks for delivery to clients, venues and to return products to the 99 Haus Balloons warehouse and workshop.
• Assists in preparing, assembling, and installing and uninstalling balloon décor including but not limited to: backdrop panels, arches, overhead installs, fringe installs and more as directed by client requests
• Returns all props, and re-useable bases to warehouse and workshop and puts in the proper place.
• Works carefully to avoid damage and breakage of products.
• Maintains a tidy workspace on site and cleans up for events to be show ready.
• Maintains professional working relationships with collogues both internal and external
• Is flexible to perform other job duties as required such as inflating balloon designs
Qualifications
• Event set-up experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, read and speak English.
• Ability to interpret order sheets
• Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with all members of the team
• Ability to multitask and deal with competing demands.
• Ability to take direction.
• Customer service orientation; able to maintain a professional demeanor with clients.
• Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include: hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, lifts, and 8 foot and 12 foot ladders.
• Ability to tolerate long work shifts and work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel locally, and outside the city and state.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift.
• Able to walk 50% of the work shift.
• Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift.
• Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.
• Ability to work in high lift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Occasionally may move up to and 50 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to handle fragile items safely.
• Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions.
• Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise
