Position Description
JOB TITLE: Social Media Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Office
LOCATION: Simpsonville, South Carolina
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salaried, exempt
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of 9Round and I Love Kickboxing social media strategies. This position will contribute to the marketing team with a focus on brand awareness, driving membership sales through social media for franchise partners, and improving member engagement through social media. This position will work closely and collaboratively with the internal marketing teams, as well as with other departments within headquarters, and occasionally with local franchise partners.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategically plans, implements, and executes an organic social media calendar per the brands’ yearly marketing plan, new company developments, and marketplace trends
- Collaborates with the marketing team to create and develop monthly organic social media content plans for franchise partners, including but not limited to, promotional content, in-studio activations, and suggestions for local content
- Manages corporate social media platforms, including, but not limited to—Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Works towards increasing engagement and growing followers for corporate social media accounts
- Responsible for monthly reporting of social media performance
- Develops engaging social media content following industry trends and collaborate with the graphic designer(s) and the in-house video team to create assets
- Collaborates with the marketing team to maintain a cohesive brand voice in marketing elements
- Monitors trends in social media and identifies strategies to execute those trends in a timely manner
- Manages internal platforms related to social media (i.e., content sharing platforms, social media management platforms, etc.)
- Visits studios in the field to capture and create engaging content
- Occasional Travel is required
- Commitment to exercise at least 3x week preferred.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, as this list does not reflect all the duties and responsibilities of the Social Media Specialist.

Skills:
- First-hand knowledge of up to date on the latest social media trends and best practices in a rapidly changing social media landscape
- Advanced working knowledge of social media platforms not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Passionate and innovative about social media marketing
- Demonstrates an understanding of computer and relevant software application
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
Experience:
- 2 years of proven working experience in social media marketing, including planning and execution of content.
Work Environment:
- Works primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Physical Demands:
- Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
- Ability to concentrate with various interruptions, weather conditions, and noise levels
- Must be able to talk, hear, use hands, fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Must be able to stand and walk 50% of the time
- Occasionally will be expected to lift boxes not to exceed 30 pounds
