The 9thWonder Media team is looking for a Media Strategist to share in our passion for creating work that unearths a compelling difference in brands. You are an effective negotiator, critical thinker and able to establish trust and build rapport with media professionals nationwide. You will work with our team to execute the client’s media buys while helping build a fast-cadence national program to attract, retain and grow target industries that deliver economic benefit in Michigan.

You will interact with team members and partners across the country. Experience in Great Lakes region will be helpful.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with clients, media strategy and account teams to understand client's business goals and establish media objectives and strategies for campaigns
  • Leverage tools and research to develop insights and ideas
  • Work with syndicated and client data to assist in analysis and media plan development
  • Analyze demographic and behavioral data to identify desired target audiences for digital and offline media
  • Evaluate a wide range of media vehicles and contribute strategies to effectively reach the target consumer
  • Implement the management of daily tasks in support of defined media goals and work with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and evaluations for defined campaign objectives
  • Develop and manage media documents including media schedules and financials necessary to keep the project/campaign on track, on schedule and within budget for the client
  • Assist with analysis and strategic insights from monthly performance data.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of media planning and strategy experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Exposure across multiple consumer media types including digital, broadcast and other forms of media
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard media research tools (e.g, MRI, Clear Decisions, AdIntel, Mediaocean, etc.)
  • Experience working with government, automotive, manufacturing and related industries and in public-private partnerships a plus
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Willingness to contribute thinking and ideas that extend beyond media specific tasks
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Detail-oriented, organized and can handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Team player
  • Curious, inquisitive mind
