About the role:
The Sales Manager position is a full-time role that will be responsible for working closely with the leadership team on everything from conceptualizing transformational sales strategies to how we approach our business by segment, industry, and geography.
The successful candidate will achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base, ensure it's strong presence, and coordinating with our marketing leaders on lead generation. Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team. This role can be based anywhere in North America and reports to our Chief Operating Officer.

  • Ability to build a best-in-class sales team. You have the proven ability to hire and train team members, set sales quotas for individuals, and develop sales processes while controlling costs
  • You will set sales targets within the sales team and provide weekly and monthly reporting on sales goals
  • You will oversee the sales team and will be responsible for meeting the company’s sales plan
  • You’ve led strategic development initiatives as it relates to customer & sales growth, scale, and retention; you also have the demonstrated ability to identify key opportunities for business improvement and new revenue-generating opportunities through marketplace intelligence, internal analyses, and qualitative insights. You will be expected to coordinate with marketing on lead generation
  • You have exceptional analytical skills to identify new revenue-generating opportunities by understanding our ideal customers and how they relate to our products
  • Understand the competitive landscape, and can identify gaps and opportunities in our products and capabilities in collaboration with senior sales leadership
  • Create and drive execution of strategies and associated roadmaps to ensure alignment and collaboration

Qualifications*
Must Haves: *

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a sales management role; managing and directing a sales team
  • Demonstrated ability to drive >20% YOY growth and strategy for a sales organization
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Logistics experience in Freight, Warehousing, and Customs Brokerage
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Previous experience selling in marketing, sales, or customer contact centers
  • You have strong negotiation skills and a persistent mentality
  • You are a clear and direct communicator and are open to constructive feedback

  • This role may be remote or could transition to a hybrid of working from home and the office if the candidate is local
