A&A is looking for Risk Manager . The focus of the role is to provide day-to-day support to the operations team while they are out in the field.

Areas of Responsibility Proactive management of incident reporting, claims and litigation tracking of claims.

  • Investigate and manage incoming incident reports, claims and litigation. Work with the safety team, site teams, and ensure proper reporting practices and record keeping, providing training when necessary.
  • Work directly with and provide documents / information requested by insurance adjusters, insurance brokers and internal and external legal counsel. Ensure proper coverage, reporting and documentation of each file
  • Manage data to perform root cause analysis and understand trends across the portfolio, to inform loss prevention and control strategies. Evaluate and drive improved decision making.
  • Interact with business partners within the company and outside the company (subcontractors, development partners, vendors, adjusters defense counsel and insurance brokers / underwriters).
  • Plan, lead and guide all incident, claims and litigation operations and activities essential to the timely and accurate reporting, processing, and handling of claims; and the prompt and equitable resolution of 1st and 3rd party claims.
  • Review and/or investigate all possible lack of coverage claims, reservation of rights, denials and disclaimers; and following-up as needed to resolve.
  • Conduct periodic meetings to ensure all staff is included in the investigative process
  • Coordinate and cooperate with all internal departments on claims needs.
  • Participate in meetings with other departments to establish relationships, discuss reporting procedures, department services, address specific needs, and/or to conduct claims reviews, as needed.
  • Participate in meetings and claim reviews with insurance brokers, carriers, and consultants to establish relationships and/or conduct claims reviews and build other deliverables, as needed.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications..


Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar program or a minimum of seven years’ experience in insurance or risk management with an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.


Minimum Years of Experience Required

  • A minimum of 7 years of claim handling experience is required.


Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • MS Word, Outlook and Excel are required.

Áreas de Responsabilidad Gestión proactiva de reporte de incidentes, reclamos y seguimiento de litigios.

  • Investigar y gestionar informes de incidentes, reclamaciones y litigios entrantes. Trabaje con el equipo de seguridad y los equipos del sitio y garantice prácticas adecuadas de presentación de informes y mantenimiento de registros, brindando capacitación cuando sea necesario.
  • Trabajar directamente y proporcionar documentos/información solicitada por ajustadores de seguros, corredores de seguros y asesores legales internos y externos. Garantizar la cobertura, los informes y la documentación adecuados de cada expediente.
  • Gestionar datos para realizar análisis de causa raíz y comprender las tendencias en toda la cartera, para informar las estrategias de control y prevención de pérdidas. Evaluar e impulsar una mejor toma de decisiones.
  • Interactuar con socios comerciales dentro y fuera de la empresa (subcontratistas, socios de desarrollo, proveedores, ajustadores, abogados defensores y corredores/suscriptores de seguros).
  • Planificar, liderar y guiar todas las operaciones y actividades de incidentes, reclamos y litigios esenciales para la presentación oportuna y precisa de informes, procesamiento y manejo de reclamos; y la resolución pronta y equitativa de reclamaciones de primeros y terceros.
  • Revisar y/o investigar todos los posibles reclamos por falta de cobertura, reserva de derechos, denegaciones y exenciones de responsabilidad; y seguimiento según sea necesario para resolverlo.
  • Llevar a cabo reuniones periódicas para garantizar que todo el personal esté incluido en el proceso de investigación.
  • Coordinar y cooperar con todos los departamentos internos en las necesidades de reclamaciones.
  • Participar en reuniones con otros departamentos para establecer relaciones, discutir procedimientos de presentación de informes, servicios del departamento, abordar necesidades específicas y/o realizar revisiones de reclamos, según sea necesario.
  • Participar en reuniones y revisiones de reclamos con corredores de seguros, compañías y consultores para establecer relaciones y/o realizar revisiones de reclamos y desarrollar otros entregables, según sea necesario.
  • Debe poder comunicarse eficazmente tanto en comunicaciones escritas como verbales.
