Description

The Accounts Payable Accountant is required to perform day to day financial transactions by classifying, computing, posting and recording AP Data.

Responsibilities

Processing and coding invoices for multiple companies, ensuring accuracy and timely payment
Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies for multiple companies
Reviewing and processing multi company employee expense reports
Maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
Assisting with month-end close processes

Skills

Proven working experience as AP Accountant I or II, payable manager
Solid understanding of GAAP
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of our employees and clients.
Relevant office or billing experience with confidential information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word; experience using a database.

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize sales applications within ERP software (i.e. Encompass).
Familiarity with several Accounting Software Platforms

Preferred:

BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
2 years in related AP accounting or general business processes

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job in a general office environment, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, operate a 10 key calculator or PC; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current valid Oklahoma or Arkansas Drivers Licenses depending on location. This license must comply with our insurance carrier’s guidelines for an acceptable, insured driver.
