Accounts Payable Specialist
A & B Painting Inc. is a leading commercial painting contractor who has been servicing Northern California for over 53 years. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to work in our Corporate office located in Santa Clara. The main responsibilities of this position include processing and recording a high-volume purchase orders (PO) and invoices. To ensure accuracy and completeness, the associate will execute 2-way or 3-way matches and reconciliations between PO’s, invoices, and monthly statements. Job Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Execute 2-way or 3-way matching to ensure accurate coding and input of high-volume material invoices to ERP system American Contractor.
- Record all electronic payments and vendor invoices into ERP system.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
- Maintain vendor files.
- Prepare weekly check run up to mailing of check payments.
- Maintain subcontractor files: contract, billings, and payments.
- Maintain Vehicle log and ensure timely payments of registrations for fleet vehicles.
- Maintain cash register recording all daily transactions in Excel.
- Provide back up support and assistance to Controller.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with construction accounting
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Able to multi-task and work independently with limited oversight.
- Highly organized with follow-up capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive problem solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with ERP software, such as inputting invoices, generating reports, etc.
- Familiarity with subcontractor billing and payments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
