What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher/Floater position at A Children's Place Daycare Center?
Assistant teacher/Floater: In this position you will be working with all classrooms and ages of children from 6- weeks to 5 years. This is a floating position with daytime hours. As an assistant teacher you will
- cover lunch breaks and planning time for teachers
- help the teacher with projects
- help with diapering and potty-training
- communicate with parents
- help with cleaning the classroom, hallways, and bathrooms
- assume responsibilities of lead teacher when necessary
- help shut down the classroom by cleaning toys, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
This is a part time position with up to 25 hours a week. This postion could either be a morning position with hours from 7:30 am -11:30 am, a mid-day position from 11:00 am - 3:00pm, or an afternoon position from 1:30 pm-5:30 pm. Part time positions may lead to a full time position when one becomes available.
Daycare workers are required to get 30 hours of training every two years, must have fingerprints, a physical and TB test, and a back ground check. A Children's Place is looking for someone who
