A Helping Hand is a professional childcare company that specializes in providing Onsite Event Childcare for special events, conferences, meetings, weddings, and retreats NATIONWIDE. Our childcare service can be described as an interactive “kid’s camp” with arts and crafts, planned activities, themed programs, games, music, and free play. It is a fun and rewarding experience for all!
We are seeking Onsite Event Managers in Virginia Beach/Norfolk, VA and surrounding areas (NC, MD, DC). This position requires flexibility to work begin working events in the evenings and weekends. This position would also require the availability to travel to different locations. Each Onsite Event Manager has the flexibility to choose their own schedule; therefore, you work when you can!
Job Description:
Onsite Event Managers facilitate the children’s programming, oversee staff, and communicate with clients and parents to ensure we are providing a safe and fun environment for the children. Onsite Event Managers earn $20/hr or more with the opportunity for bonuses. The expectations of this position include professionalism, confidence, punctuality, and commitment.
Required qualifications include:
- Must be 25 years or older
- Minimum of 4 years experience working with children 0-17 years old
- Minimum of 2 years experience in professional management, childcare administration, or like field
- Physical ability to lift infants and children
- Physical ability to lead interactive group games and activities
- Ability to lead and implement a variety of activities while enforcing safety standards and abiding by policies and procedures
- Ability to physically, visually and audibly respond to urgent circumstances in a prompt and professional manner
- Clear criminal history
- CPR/First Aid Certification upon hire
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Physical ability and willingness to travel (car and flight travel)
- Reliable form of transportation
- Valid driver's license and car Insurance
- Credit Card for traveling incidentals
- Ability to store all provided event manager supplies
