What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at A Hiring Company?
A leading online ticket agency that specializes in finding its clients the best sports, concert and theater tickets at the best possible price is looking for a Controller. Located in South Florida this position will encompass all accounting functions, including journal entries, month-end close, daily and monthly reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, this position will be highly involved in developing and implementing new workflows and systems enabling the company to recognize maximum efficiencies across multiple business areas
This is a Work from Home position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparation of GAAP based financial statements
- Help establish best practices and internal control around the accounting team.
- Receivables management and collection
- Payables and bill payment management and oversight Cash forecasting
- Liaison with third parties (legal/tax) and help to outsource certain back-office functions
- Communicate with business units regarding financial results, discrepancies, or requests for additional information
- Multiple ad hoc projects and workflows on a daily basis
- Oversee and review work of the Staff Accountant
- Communicate effectively with senior management
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- 5 years or more related work experience.
- Public Accounting experience is a plus.

Formal Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance
- CPA license a plus
