Position: Label Press Operator

About the role:

The Label Press Operator will use general equipment knowledge to ensure consistent and effective operation of the Flexographic Label Press to meet required schedule requirements, productivity standards, and quality activities, while ensuring effective coordination of printing activities to support bottling line requirements.

What you will be doing:

• Operate a press to produce product in accordance to specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Diagnose problems, make adjustments, troubleshoot, and provide the required maintenance and repair to equipment in a timely manner.
• Maintain consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include copy, color, and ink adhesion.
• Create a safe workspace by maintaining cleanliness in assigned area and following safety regulations.
• Enjoyment of wearing many hats is necessary.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience operating Flexographic Label Press or similar complex machinery
• Must be computer literate
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to understand basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to be able to achieve a 32 or Lower on the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 HueColor Vision Test
• Demonstrated steady and consistent work history
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Reliability and flexibility
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written
• Friendly, engaging, and professional demeanor
• Desire to learn, seek new challenges and to take on additional responsibilities
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Must be resourceful and initiative-taking
• Self-motivated, driven individual
• The determination to work harder than anyone you know
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, push and pull
• Must be able to stand up to 10 hours a day
