Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will provide specialized care and support to patients with mental health conditions. Your role will involve assessing patients, developing treatment plans, administering medications, and providing therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients and their families
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Psychiatric Nurse is preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner or other electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and procedures
- Proficiency in procedures such as inhale, gastric lavage, DME, specimen collection processing, family planning, memory care, pediatrics, and laboratory techniques
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in [STATE]
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
