Overnight Support Partner (part-time)

A New Leaf’s East Valley Men’s Center is a safe haven for men facing homelessness as they re-integrate into the community. Our dedicated staff help residents build skills for job readiness, assist with finding employment and develop a plan for permanent housing. A New Leaf strongly believes in offering a hand up to men willing to put in the effort to improve their lives. Through stable living, comprehensive services, and compassionate attention to the challenges each man faces, A New Leaf helps men experiencing homelessness find their feet and become contributing members of the community once again.Location: Mesa, AZPay: $17.35 - $20.35 (depending on years of experience/education)Schedule:Monday - Wednesday, 11:30pm - 8:00am (3 days weekly - part-time role)Primary Responsibilities:Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as shift reports, daily activities, special concerns, client entry/exit forms, etc.Answer and screen phone calls (multiple lines) and be able to provide resources/screening crisis calls.Assist with the introduction of program and facility orientation.Brief residents on program rules, expectations, policies and procedures.Participate in resident supervision on a regular basis as required by state law and A New Leaf policy.Provide varied verbal and physical crisis interventions as needed.Assist with maintaining program appearance; cleanliness and maintenance of agency physical plant, equipment and/or agency vehicles.Prepare and/or assist with meal/snack preparation serving, and cleanup. Responsible for overseeing and coordination of Volunteer Meal Program.Able to operate 12-15 passenger vehicles, when necessary. May be required to pick up and transport donations to the Shelter and/or our Donation Center.Monitor security of the property through quarterly hour ground checks.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED, requiredDemonstrate a basic understanding of Trauma Informed Care, preferredExperience working with homeless or economically disadvantaged population, preferredCommitted to teamwork and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Requirements:Must be able to pass various background checksMust pass pre-employment drug testValid driver’s license with reliable transportationCurrent auto liability insuranceMust be at least 21 years of age
