Responsibilities The CTC Driver will work Regular Full-Time Days and arrives as scheduled for van service and performs regular vehicle safety inspections according to hospital vehicle use policy and reports deficiencies to the Shuttle Group Leader or Support Services Manager for resolution. The CTC Driver contacts, informs, directs, and coordinates new patient transportation with internal and external customers. The CTC Driver contacts new patients, who require transportation, to obtain directions to their homes, set up pickup and drop off times to meet scheduled appointment times within 24 hours of notification of transportation need. The CTC Driver provides monthly, YTD, and annual reports to CTC and Support Services Management on the number of patients transported, miles traveled, fuel used, and vehicle maintenance costs. Qualifications Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. The New York State mandate allows for medical exemptions and religious accommodations, when appropriate. All candidates who accept an offer from Bassett Healthcare Network will be required to show proof of vaccination as required by New York State. Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience required Licensure/Certificates: Valid NYS Driver's License required First Aid/CPR Training preferred Skills: Must have strong interpersonal communication skills. Able to handle multiple duties and responsibilities associated with operation, service, and maintenance of Hospital vehicles.
