In working towards helping A Precious Child meet its overall objective of providing resources and opportunities for children, A Precious Child’s Empowerment Center Director assists in providing clients with outcomes-based comprehensive services. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day interactions and satisfaction of our clients through case management and navigation resources. Resources available may include existing programs and services at A Precious Child as well as services related to safety, basic needs, education and workforce development, health and wellness and social and emotional well-being offered through our Agency Partners.
The Empowerment Center Director will oversee the Empowerment Advocates and Case Managers. The Empowerment Center team will collaborate with Resource Center staff and volunteers including Operations Team Department Heads. This position requires that all candidates who apply speak and write fluent Spanish.
Hours: Exempt, Full-Time, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Monday through Friday
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Direct Reports: Case Managers and Empowerment Advocates
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee Case Management Team, Empowerment Center Advocates, and Interns and Volunteers ensuring daily and monthly goals are met
- Oversee and conduct intake of clients and Agency Partners
- Oversee daily client appointment scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage between staff, volunteers and interns
- Develop and lead Case Management program, including leading weekly Case Management work sessions with the Empowerment Center team
- Evaluate and audit Case Management client data to ensure care is provided in accordance with organization standards and cases are moving along a self-sufficiency path
- Audit department administrative data on a daily/weekly basis by working with Evaluation Manager to spot data entry mistakes and provide efficient solutions
- Oversee internship and volunteer management within the department and ensure training and supervision
- Work with Volunteer Manager to help ensure department internship and volunteer needs are communicated and fulfilled
- Oversee Bright by Three program and kit distribution and ensuring we are on target for goals set
- Oversee Social & Emotional kit distribution and ensure we are on target for goals set
- Oversee the current Broomfield Housing Assistance Grant to ensure goal is met
- Oversee the implementation of client Self-Sufficiency Matrixes
- Identify the needs of children and their family members through a screening survey and face to face meetings
- Help families navigate resources to meet their needs whether by connecting them to internal programs of A Precious Child and/or other agencies’ programs for which they may be eligible
- Measure and monitor the outcomes of services and referrals provided to families
- Provide Captain database maintenance and work with Evaluations Manager on ongoing database support and reports
- Support seasonal programs, drive through and pop-up events by scheduling clients for events and completing reminder phone calls. Additionally, ensuring Empowerment Center staff/volunteers schedules are cleared to support and work listed events
- Work with Marketing Department to capture client stories and filming days
- Ensure presence at community partner meetings and update the Empowerment Center team on resources, news, programs, etc.
- Oversee and ensure team is responding to client and partner emails and voicemails within 1 business day
- Assist in the creation and updating of processes and procedures
- Maintain ongoing client communication in a respectful manner
- Ensure smooth transition between client intake and client shopping
- Ensure smooth transition between Agency Partner intake and Agency Partner shopping
- Provide client de-escalation intervention through a trauma-informed lens when needed
- Ensure proper data entry for client and Agency Partner data as it pertains to services received through the Resource Center.
- Assist clients and Agency Partners by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and for daily appointment reminder calls
- Ensure opening and closure tasks are completed daily and on time
- Other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
- Fluent in Spanish language required
- 3 years of management experience
- Experience in similar work related field, such as, nonprofit, health and human services, social work, etc
- Bachelors required
- Enthusiasm and passion for A Precious Child’s mission and vision.
- Must be able to manage competing demands and handle multiple duties simultaneously
- Exceptional organizational skills, to manage all of the moving parts of the Empowerment Center
- Exceptional customer service skills and ethics, including, compassion especially when clients are experiencing complex issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Present a polished and professional image and demeanor
- Must be a self-starter who is motivated, outgoing and has strong organizational skills
- Work well independently and in a team environment
- Meets deadlines and demonstrate attention to detail
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependable and an ability to work effectively with coworkers, volunteers and interns
- Possesses excellent relationship and interpersonal skills; the ability to work effectively with donors, volunteers, and staff; displays mature judgment, superior diplomatic skills
Compensation:
Starting at $60,000-$70,000/year depending on experience. Includes a generous benefits package includes paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurances, and matching contribution to a 401(k) retirement plan after meeting eligibility requirements.
