What are the responsibilities and job description for the Criminal Paralegal position at A Private Law Firm?
Long standing Tempe criminal defense firm seeks industrious and dedicated paralegal to assist with management of misdemeanor and felony caseload. At least 2 years of criminal law paralegal experience required, 5 years preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred but experience may substitute for education.
Primary duties include: interacting with clients concerning administrative and procedural issues, partly manage attorneys’ calendars for court appearances and hearings, draft non-substantive pleadings as part of calendar management, and review case information for attorney review. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or all of the above activities, be familiar with limited jurisdiction court and superior court practices and procedures, be adept at quickly developing good working relationships with court staff, prosecutorial staff, and clients. The ideal candidate will also be able to work independently with little supervision but could respond quickly and adequately to a variety of client or court management situations.
