About us
We are a non-profit animal rescue/shelter and our goal is to reduce the number of abused, neglected and unwanted animals in the area. We take in animals in from high kill shelters, owner surrenders and strays off the streets. We render medical treatment, rehabilitate them and place them up for adoption to find a new forever home that will love them and cherish them as all animals deserve to be. Our work can be very tiring. There are days where it can feel like you are emptying the ocean with a teaspoon. There are also days were you KNOW you made a difference and it is extremely rewarding.

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to and forward email and phone inquiries
- Greet and provide general support to visitors
- Organizing and coordinating fundraisers
- Plan and coordinate adoption events
- Coordinate and track payment plans, foster – to – adopt homes and finalizations
- Maintain a filing system
- Help review invoices and charges and pay open invoices
- Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain spreadsheets via Google Sheets
- Put together weekly deposits
- Contracts – Sending new adoption contracts and executing signed contracts
Skills:
- Must be OK with cats and dogs as co-workers
- Ok with animals with unknown backgrounds
- Not afraid of animal messes such as vomit, feces or urine
- Be able to bend, flex and lift over 40 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks Online
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to keep confidential information
- Good time management skills
- Ability to transcribe information accurately
- Experience with project coordination and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with computerized systems and databases
- Background working with animals at a kennel, vet clinic, rescue facility or shelter a plus
- Knowledge of multi-line phone systems and front desk duties is an advantage
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing duties
- Flexibility with hours is a plus
- Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
