Job Position: Buyer, Purchasing Department
Position objective:
The Buyer is responsible for assisting the International Purchasing Agent with our A-T Controls offshore manufacturing partners.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare purchase orders from material requisitions generated by International Purchasing Agent via SAGE 100 software. Each purchase order will be checked against the factories pro forma invoice to ensure product, pricing and delivery requirements match the purchase order.
- Communicate when necessary with freight forwarders to ensure product flows smoothly from the factory to both the Cincinnati and Houston warehouses. Also, receive all imported product into SAGE 100 upon arrival into the Cincinnati or Houston warehouse.
- Update internal reports with any changes to delivery dates and communicate changes to other departments as necessary.
- Perform other duties as necessary or instructed.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 2 years of related work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills
- Solid analytical and computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to work independently and as a team player.
- Meet annual training requirements per A-T Controls ISO 9001:2015 quality program.

Working Conditions: This position is a mixture of a professional office and shop environment. Most management responsibilities are performed while sitting at a desk at a computer terminal. Technical duties may be performed in shop environment (low level noise).
