What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Account Assistant position at A to Z Law Erie?

Our Office Account Assistant is responsible for maintaining office accounts, including individual estate accounts, and preparing documentation for final accounting purposes.
This includes but is not limited to the following essential job functions:
- Responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, including specifically tracking individual accounts payable for each estate account.
- Responsible for reconciliation of office accounts, including individual estate accounts.
- Create and process client invoices, including monthly billings as well as trust requests.
- Responsible for preparation of documentation for final accounting purposes, including use of established coding systems.
- Assist with filing as needed, including the creation of new files as well as maintenance of existing files, including closed/archived files.
- Assist with front line duties as needed, including: answering and appropriately addressing incoming phone calls, as well as placing calls as requested; managing office email; preparing outgoing mail, including trips to post office/other carriers as necessary, as well as sorting incoming mail; answering the door as needed; and maintaining professionalism and a client-centered approach to all communications, in order to uphold and promote the reputation of A to Z Law Erie as a welcoming and accepting space for all individuals.
Qualifications
Required:
- Communicating with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Handling multiple tasks, projects, and demands upon one's time and attention.
- Competence using computers, including ability and willingness to learn multiple programs/applications, such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Clio, and other resources as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience using QuickBooks.
- Experience working in an equivalent position.
Hours
We are currently hiring to fill a part-time position, for a total of twenty (20) hours per week, four (4) hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
