We are hiring at A WorkSAFE Service in Tacoma/Seattle, Washington. This is a subsidiary of Lobdock Inc. We are looking for a full-time drug and alcohol testing agent to drive around the state in our mobile unit to conduct drug and alcohol testing on various worksites.

The perfect candidate would love a varied schedule, working independently and does not mind very early mornings or late nights. If you love travel and a varied work schedule, this might make you a great fit! This position does not report to a physical office. Instead, your office will be a 24 foot RV that you drive from location to location to complete workforce safety screenings for drugs and alcohol or a Kia Soul for travel to employers facilities to conduct testing at their location. Your schedule is slotted mostly on a quarterly basis, so close to the beginning of each 3-month period, the scheduler will send you testing locations across the state to be completed within that quarter. Some of these may require an overnight stay in a hotel or a very early departure time (like 2 AM). Occasionally, some testing may not be scheduled until later in the quarter, giving you less notice, but this is infrequent.

This is a salaried position that is about 40 hours of work per week. Overtime is paid when work is over 40 hours per week. Most scheduling that we assign will be Monday to Friday (and very occasionally on Saturdays or Sundays, depending on need of our clients). However hours needed will vary to include late nights and early mornings.

This would not be a good job for you if you prefer a structured schedule, you do not like driving around the state of Washington, if you hate more than 3-4 hour drives or don't like early mornings. Some of our locations also require a lengthy walk while carrying about 50 lbs. of equipment. This job can be physically taxing.

No experience is required, we will train the right person.

There is a background check and drug test that you'll need to be able to pass. We need you to have a valid driver's license (with a good driving record and no more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years) and be at least 21 years of age. It would be great if you also have a passport, but if not, you’d need to obtain one after being hired. You would also need a TWIC card which you can obtain if you are hired. We do provide a company car and an RV for our collectors to use rather than their own vehicle.

Qualifications:

• You must be at least 21 years of age
• You must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record (no more than 1 moving violations in the past 3 years)
• Capable of obtaining a passport if you don’t have one already
• You must have a high school diploma, however many employees have college degrees
• You must be able to pass a drug test
• You must be able to pass a background check for employment purposes as well as a federal/state level background check (TWIC). This is so you can access the Washington Ferry Boats to conduct their testing
• Comfortable with driving long hours across Washington State early in the morning or later in the evening, as well as some limited weekend hours
• You must be willing to stay in a hotel overnight for a few nights about once a month
• You must be OK with schedule changes on a regular basis
• You should be great at working with people as well as great working independently

Starting Salary: $41,600/year or $20/hour with overtime when needed. Overtime is paid at $30/hour if more than 40 hours of work is required in a week. Although overtime is rare.
