What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at AAA Careers?
AAA East Central has an Accountant opportunity available in-office at our Headquarters location.
This position provides management with timely, accurate financial information and analysis. Assists the senior financial analyst with all daily accounting operations and issues.
Job responsibilities include:
Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries. Research and resolve reporting errors or discrepancies timely.
Perform monthly reconciliations timely and accurately. Investigate and resolve reconciling items.
Perform other month end duties and assist in the preparation of financial reports and data as required.
Assist in identifying and documenting enhanced processes and procedures.
Work cross-functionality with other team members to gain understanding of business and data requirements to ensure general ledger balances are correct and transactions are classified properly.
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; three years related accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in Microsoft Excel is required.
