Lead BI Developer

Overview

This position will oversee the design and development of Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting solutions. Assess business requirements, troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to address key information needs of our organization. The Lead BI Developer will manage workflow to team, be a technical resource, and provide mentoring to more junior developers.

Responsibilities

Manages workflow and prioritizes projects as they come in. Responsible for identifying needs that relate to overall strategy, and effectively use resources to execute on business line needs. Provide ongoing training and support to developers on the team. 

Executes the overall design and implementation of the BI infrastructure including evaluation and recommendation of software tools, definition of hardware requirements, and system configuration. 

Works closely with business lines and users to gather reporting and analytic requirements. Transposes the requirements into ETL and report specifications. 

Prepare data for analysts use with predative and prescriptive modeling

Develops and implements ETL processes and queries in support of business analytics. 

Interfaces directly with business users and business analysts and translates business needs into technical solutions. 

Collaborates with teams to integrate systems. 

Provide ad hoc data and reports, as requested.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses/ Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Computer Science or Engineering, IT, or related field; or 6-8 years of additional relevant experience Experience: 5-7 years Database design, SQL, and data warehousing experience 1-3 years Cloud Platform like Azure 1-3 years Leadership, either direct or indirect experience
