What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Accounting Clerk position at AAA Oregon/Idaho?
AAA Oregon/Idaho is looking for a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Travel Accounting Clerk to join our team.
Located in our Downtown Portland office, the Travel Accounting Clerk supports the travel adventures of our members by ensuring the accurate and timeline function of our travel accounting team. This position assists in the accounting for travel reservations transactions booked in multiple locations.
Regular responsibilities include daily review and auditing of transactions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel agent commission calculations and Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) reporting. This position also supports fellow team members providing back-up and collaboration on other duties and projects as needed.
Desired Skills
- 2 years accounting related experience or education, with foundational understanding of accounting required
- Experience and interest in the travel industry preferred
- Highly detailed and organized with the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and data security
- Proficiency with Excel and other computer database systems
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and desire to work with a diverse employee population in an inclusive and equitable manner
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills preferred but not required (bilingual pay differential offered)
Starting Pay Range
- $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
