Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader. We are looking for an Quality Conformity Manager III who is seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
Essential Functions:
1. Lead Team & Act as Delegate: 40%
- Lead and develop Practical Problem Solving (PPS) skills within Operations and Quality Team, ensure that the Practical Problem Solving (PPS) maturity of qualification of personnel is in accordance to the specific Qualification requirements.
- Ensure together with Operations the competence- and qualification management of Operations and Quality Focal Point for the production delegated Inspectors in area of responsibility for Practical Problem Solving (PPS)
- Ensure that the Aircraft production and the milestone FOT is in compliance with the Quality, cost and lead-time targets of FAL-USA.
- Ensure that NCs are managed and drumbeat from creation to closure of Practical Problem Solving (PPS) are priority for all within the MFT.
- Responsible focal point for all Practical Problem Solving (PPS)
- Conducts Practical Problem Solving (PPS) training to insure optimum performance in job procedures and methods of lead employees and other assigned technicians. Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations/company policies and procedures relating to workmanship.
- Represent Flowline to other departments and levels of the FAL. Interface with other departments to facilitate Practical Problem Solving (PPS) resolution and process improvement.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations of Practical Problem Solving (PPS), makes recommendations regarding personnel actions and collaborates with Quality Manager in employee communication and communicating on personnel actions.
- Collaborate with the procurement function to ensure the acquisition of necessary consumable materials as well as tools and other equipment such as; Practical Problem Solving (PPS).
- Plan and control workload of all assigned employees to ensure on time delivery per approved schedule. Coordinate with and obtain support from the assigned team.
2. Risk Analysis/Containment: 40%
- Risk mitigation of quality escapes endangering the aircraft built and or product safety, launch of immediate corrective actions with Practical Problem Solving (PPS)
- Ensure that all technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft are carried out to the POA standards, inspection plans and attested.
- Responsible Practical Problem Solving (PPS) Focal Point for all external EASA Audits in area responsibility
- Able to provide efficient feed-back analysis and trend to management.
- Work within a MFT to resolve Practical Problem Solving (PPS) issues and ensure constant feedback loops with MAP, ME, QCM, AQCM and FCM
- Practical Problem Solving (PPS) expert is expected to be proficient in manufacture’s policies which are processes (i.e. PPV, First Validation, Intervention, MMI, Quality Authorizations and others.)
3. Improve Processes/Operations: 20%
- Ensure that all EASA-POA regulatory requirements are implemented and used in the Flowline Product Quality and manufacturing organization.
- Support and project manage the deployment & implementation of sustainable improvement projects and standardize way of working like Practical Problem Solving (PPS) Excellence - Able to lead projects at times
- Define and implement work level processes based on the experience and recommendations from existing FAL operations. Identifies opportunities and implements adaptations for local application of such ideas.
- Responsible for Continuous Improvement including leading activities and document progress.
- Fully proficient in AOS and has the ability to own a QPS Brick and implement it into the Station
- Lead projects or be a main contributor such as new station implementation, introduction of new versions
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 5 years at Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly Processes, Production method, etc..
- High degree of flexibility and initiative
- Demonstrably effective communication skills on different levels, a structured way of working and the ability to deal with a volume of complex information.
- Ability to work in different production management systems
- Experience as a member and leader of an international team.
- Work with the principles, practices, methods and tools used in aircraft manufacturing
- Work with non-conformities and design query notes
- Work with quality management system
- Knowledge Aircraft manufacturing process with strong emphasis on Structure/Mechanical/ Paint Tasks
- Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulation
- Requires ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with internal customer
- Must be able to use Microsoft office & SAP
