AACI is looking for an Shelter Support Lead to join their fantastic domestic violence and human trafficking program, Asian Women’s Home. AACI is a community health organization serving the marginalized communities in Santa Clara County. This professional opportunity would be great for a resourceful, independent worker with case management experience. This is a part time, weekend position, 20 hours per week
Position Summary:
The Shelter Support Lead will be responsible for guiding the Shelter Support Staff team, providing trainings to the team, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete, overseeing that basic shift functions are carried out, and communicating discrepancies to the Shelter Manager for training and accountability purposes.
The ideal candidate:
- BA/BS in social work, behavioral sciences, other related fields or equivalent experience.
- One year or more of supervisory experience
- One year or more of experience in domestic violence and/or human trafficking field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Practices non-violent communication.
- Fluent and able to provide all services in English and an Asian language or Spanish.
- One year or more of experience in a professional office environment, preferred.
- 40 or 65 hour Domestic Violence-Sexual Assault certified through the YWCA Silicon Valley or other authorized provider, preferred
