Companies change in size, complexity, or just evolve over time. Their processes do not necessarily evolve appropriately to match the company’s changes. We have a great opportunity for the tech-savvy accountant. Our Business Process team has an opening for an experienced team member that has working knowledge of accounting best practices as well as a love and acuity for technical applications, such as mid-level ERPs or specific solutions like bill.com, etc. This position offers a self-managed and motivated team member the freedom and support to work with multiple clients on a variety of different consulting engagements to increase their efficiencies through technology. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for providing insight and solutions relating to process and technology for diverse organizations, from very small companies (e.g. 5 employees) through sophisticated midmarket organizations (~3,000 employees), ranging from non-profits to manufacturing to professional services
- Interview clients to understand their current business processes and recommend opportunities for improvements to efficiency, effectiveness, and internal controls
- Identify where and how technology could be used for improvements, particularly mid-level ERP systems and specialized workflow applications
- Lead engagement planning, customer and project management, correspondence with customers and multiple vendors, conducting fieldwork which includes client discovery meetings and often system research, discussing findings and observations with client, creating documentation of current state and recommendations for improvements
- Assist clients in selecting and designing their ERP systems, specifically with the chart of accounts and system configuration,
- Act as project manager/advocate for clients during implementation projects by guiding them in best practices and task completion
- Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and be a stellar example of AAFCPAs consulting services
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience working in the field of accounting on a mid to high level, completing financial transactions for an entity and knowledge of the typical workflows for an entity
- Experience implementing an ERP system and knowledge for how ERP systems operate to address client workflows
- Accuity in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Advanced verbal and written presentation skills
- Strong leadership, analysis, and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to manage several ongoing projects simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines
- Technologically savvy and ability to communicate knowledge and concepts to clients
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred
