What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at AAM1?
The Anasazi Village Condominiums Homeowners' Association community can be found at 12220 N. Paradise Village Pky S. in the 85032 area of Phoenix. This Association has 15 residential buildings, a Clubhouse with 5 pools and spas. This position will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, building systems, common areas and other physical assets within a residential Homeowner’s Association (HOA). We are looking to hire a qualified, mature, self-sufficient maintenance technician to cover weekends. The work schedule for this position will be Thursday - Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday being the off-time.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partners with the Community Manager and the maintenance lead to maintain buildings, building systems, common areas and other physical assets on the property.
- Perform duties related to basic plumbing, electrical, painting, dry wall, pressure washing, and other maintenance needs related to the designated property.
- Regular maintenance, if applicable, of pools, spa, sauna, steam room, water features, landscape and irrigation systems, etc.
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems to identify issues and necessary repairs.
- Complete grounds work, which may include trash clean up, sweeping, landscaping, pressure washing, etc.
- Complete assigned maintenance service requests.
- Point of contact for after hours’ calls and emergencies.
- Properly operate, maintain and store all maintenance equipment.
- Perform other related duties as directed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Works indoors and outdoors.
- Requires physical ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, squat and bend.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, in crowded areas and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces, in hot, cold and wet conditions, climb and stand on ladders at heights of up to 8 feet.
- Able to handle various manual and power tools.
- May work independently or as part of a team.
Experience
Required- 2 year(s): High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of full time, paid, professional experience working in a maintenance role, preferably within an HOA or property management environment. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool equipment and chemicals, painting, dry wall and any other maintenance skills necessary to complete work orders. Valid Driver’s License.
