Service Writer Wanted
We are looking for a service writer for our fast-growing auto repair facility here in Amarillo, TX.

Our service writers are the interface between the customer and the technician and we are looking for an energetic, Detail oriented person to fill this role.
The primary purpose of the Service Adviser at Aardvark Automotive is to get existing and potential customers to schedule and bring their vehicles into the shop for services - then sell the services needed in that visit, while giving excellent and friendly services. The emphasis for the Service Adviser must be on sales and service.
Service advisors are powerful salespeople at the front counter! Not only do they sell service, but they own the customer experience.
DUTIES OF POSITION:
- Checking customers in and out.
- Providing and executing estimates.
- Generating and cashiering repair orders.
- Timely and complete follow through on questions, estimates, progress notifications, and project completion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a team player!
- Attention to detail, excellent written and Strong verbal communication skills and a work ethic are not only requirements for the position but are necessary for success.
- Sales Experience
- Must have a current and valid Driver License.
- Willing to learn and apply new information to the job and have a strong work ethic.
- Take great CARE OF OUR CUSTOMERS.
- Honest, Friendly, and Non-judgmental.
- Understanding of English language, written and spoken / bilingual is a plus, but not mandatory.
- High School or equivalent, minimum GED.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Be able to take instructions and apply them properly with close attention to detail. Listening to customer concerns and converting them into written instructions for technicians is critical.
- The ability to read and understand information gathered from the computer.
- Write legibly for proper communication with staff and customers.
- Must have basic math skills including, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Take payments from customers properly and apply these payments to Point of Sells system.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
