Position Summary:
We are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Utility Engineer to join our team. The Assistant Utility Engineer’s responsibilities include completing all tasks assigned by the Chief Utility Engineer. You should be able to diagnose problems and follow instructions in fast-paced environments. To be successful, you should be passionate about your engineering discipline and demonstrate strong logical and critical thinking skills. Outstanding candidates are able to keep track of project expenses, write detailed reports, and ensure consistent quality assurance standards.
Essential Job Duties:
- Onsite facilities management under Chief Utility Engineer
- Oversee utility systems and contractors’ maintenance
- Steam – Central Boiler house operated by 3rd party
- Sewer
- Electric
- City Water
- Well Water
- Chilled Water
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- All other tasks or duties as assigned by the Manager.
- May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
- Must maintain professional appearance including adherence to dress code as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School / Trade School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management maintenance and or a related field.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Classification:
- Non-exempt/Hourly – eligible for overtime.
